Video Animation Hardware.
Top view of a RGB & Sync generator circuit. This circuit came from the April 1995 back issue of Nuts and Volts. This was made using a laserprinter and toner transfer paper. This works well for simple quick prototypes. Not much good for production.

Under side view of the sync generator. Note the amount of rework caused by the traces floating off when the paper is soaked in water.

Rev 2 of the sync generator. The MC1377 was not avalable. The design was changed to use the MC13077 video encoder to provide an array of NTSC (and optional PAL) video outputs. This also uses fewer filters.

Detail of the surface mount component. Only the DW pakage was avialable at the time of order. for tips on working with surface mount parts. See this note (*). This board was made by expressPCB. A useful low cost fast turnaround Internet board prototyping service.
